The safety of our customers, employees and those who work beside us is our first concern. No project or service call is a “success” unless it is completed without injury or incident. At Lee Company, we are proud of our safety record. Our EMR (the standard measure of safety performance used for Workers Compensation ratings) has been better than the industry average by 20% or more for the past decade, and for many years prior to that. Our projected EMR for 2013 is .60.
But we want to do better. To that end, our field supervisors are OSHA (30-hour) trained and certified. All employees receive regular safety updates and training. Lee Company is also a Tennessee Drug Free Workplace.
Every accident is investigated and changes to procedures and practices are implemented as needed. Every employee is expected to watch out for themselves and for others.
We are all responsible for safety -- it is an attitude and mindset that pervades all we do.
