Training and Education

We are only as good as our people, and our people are only as good as their training. Lee Company is proud to offer the LCU (Lee Company University) to our employees as benefit of employment with us.  The LCU is an NCCER accredited craft training site, specializing in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Pipefitting, and Welding. All craft training is conducted in-house to the rigorous NCCER and Lee Company standards by certified, highly qualified instructors. Training is a healthy mix of written curriculum and testing, as well as practical “hands-on” training in our manufacturing facility.

We partner with PHCC, ABC, ASHRAE, ASHE, AGC, and ASA to provide the latest in management and supplemental training to all of our managers and technical personnel. Through our network of suppliers, we also train on the latest products and uses to ensure that our people are on the cutting edge of our industry.

Sustainability training holds significant emphasis with Lee Company, which assisted us in becoming Tennessee’s 1^st Certified Green Contractor through ABC’s arduous application standards.

Finally, we conduct cross-training within our company to ensure our groups are integrated in education and expectations. For example, our in-house engineers might host our construction managers in a technical conference, or our construction managers might host our engineers in a conference on constructability in design.
