Lee Company was the first ABC Green Contractor in Tennessee, a certification that continues to be rare in our industry. The ABC Green Contractor Certification program is designed to document the merit shop construction community’s efforts to develop a sustainable workplace environment—both on and off the jobsite—as well as recognize ABC member firms that are green industry leaders.

The process of becoming a Certified Green Contractor involves focus and improvement of operational efficiency and effectiveness and commitment to the environment, customers, employees and the community. It requires compliance with stringent prerequisites, application and documentation requirements, and a third-party on-site audit by the ABC.

We believe this benefits our employees with better work environments, increased morale, and helps protect their health and well-being. We also believe that the environmental impact includes reduction in pollution, waste and greenhouse gas emissions and savings of energy, water and raw materials.

The Trade Ally Network sponsored by your local power company and the Tennessee Valley Authority selects members committed to quality energy efficiency products and services and support programs offered by your local power company and TVA.

The Preferred Partners Network  for commercial trade allies is a master list, maintained by TVA, of commercial trade allies committed to the design, installation, servicing, and promotion of high quality energy efficiency and demand response technologies and equipment for commercial application. The Preferred Partners Network is made available to TVA power consumers to help them choose a commercial trade ally to implement energy efficiency and demand response measures.

In addition, as a preferred partner of the Trade Ally Network, Lee Company can streamline the process of obtaining TVA incentives with minimal involvement of the owner.

Lee Company is an Energy Star Service and Product Provider. We have met strict Energy Star requirements for benchmarking customer buildings using Portfolio Manager and gaining Energy Star certification for buildings. As part of this partnership we agree to:

• Measure, track, and benchmark energy performance
• Develop and implement a plan to improve energy performance, adopting the Energy Star strategy
• Educate our staff and the public about our partnership and achievements with Energy Star.

We can perform all services required for Energy Star certification for buildings in-house with our professional engineers, test and balance teams, and others experienced in energy-related fields.
