Water Treatment

Lee Company provides custom water treatment solutions based on years of experience and a company-wide commitment to customer satisfaction. We solve water quality problems swiftly and effectively.

But our true expertise is in preventing problems before they occur. We help you protect your investments in equipment and facilities while controlling your energy and maintenance costs. We insure your peace of mind -- and your success.

Expert water treatment from Lee Company can cut your water, energy and maintenance costs substantially. Perhaps most important of all, it can save you the cost of fixing or replacing equipment that’s been damaged by inadequate water treatment – including the downtime and lost revenue usually associated with solving such problems.

Every Lee Company program is a custom solution, designed for your facilities, equipment and water treatment challenges.

Here are some details on our services:

Boiler water treatment

Lee Company water treatment programs control scale, corrosion and sludge build-up not only on heat transfer surfaces but throughout your boiler systems. Designed to maintain both steam purity and steam quality, our programs help reduce your energy and maintenance costs while maximizing the life and efficiency of your equipment.

We provide products for steam and hot water boilers of all sizes and types – in hospitals and commercial buildings, power-generating stations and industrial plants. Our products for feedwater equipment, and steam and condensate return lines are formulated for a wide range of system temperatures and pressures.

Cooling water treatment

Lee Company cooling water treatment programs meet the needs of all kinds of industries and the many types of chillers and cooling towers in use. By controlling mineral deposits, debris build-up and bio-film growth, our cooling water programs can significantly reduce your energy and maintenance costs while helping you comply with environmental regulations.

Lee Company uses corrosion and scale inhibitors that protect multi-metal systems from a wide range of mineral deposits and corrosive processes – at virtually all temperatures, cycles of concentration and makeup conditions. Our dispersants effectively remove rust, mud, sand and other debris from tower and pipe surfaces. And our EPA-approved biocides control algal, fungal and bacterial slimes.

Reliable feed and control equipment

Lee Company offers Advantage, LMI and Walchem, a versatile line of storage, feed and monitoring equipment that  makes it easy to implement and manage a safe, effective water treatment program.

Lee Company offers the widest range of controllers, metering pumps and accessories. Whether you choose the flexible microprocessor controls or basic analog units, you get the advantage of equipment with the features and options you want.

We offer the industry leader in combining the latest Internet communications, electronic control and metering pump innovations into the most user-friendly products for water treatment and control applications.

Custom wastewater solutions

Lee Company’s wide range of specialty coagulants and flocculants deliver effective de-watering of solids, increase throughput and reduce sludge volume. And all meet demanding new standards for wastewater and process water treatment.

Compared with alum and other conventional coagulants, our liquid coagulants deliver both better clarification rates and lower sludge volumes. Effective at low dosages because of their high active content, Lee Company coagulants also work at a wider range of pH levels and reduce the need for acid or caustic treatment applications. Available in a full range of charge values and molecular weights, our emulsion, liquid and dry flocculants increase production rates and lower dewatering costs.

Corrosion monitoring

Test coupons provide an inexpensive means of on-line monitoring that will allow you to effectively measure the corrosivity within your system. By observing the mils-per-year corrosion rate of an exposed coupon, valuable information can be provided regarding the material's life expectancy.

The simplest and longest-established, method of estimating corrosion losses in plant and equipment is weight loss analysis. A weighed sample (coupon) of the metal or alloy under consideration is introduced into the process, and later removed after a reasonable time interval. The coupon is then cleaned of all corrosion  by-product and is reweighed. The weight loss is converted to a corrosion rate or metal loss.

Expert water treatment services

Your Lee Company water treatment program is based on a thorough assessment of your water quality and system performance. It addresses any existing problems and establishes the right water chemistry to maintain your systems at peak efficiency.

But that’s only the beginning. Through regular site visits and analytical service reports, continual testing and comprehensive annual equipment inspections, your Lee Company field engineer helps you monitor and optimize your treatment program.

Effective onsite training

We believe in empowering our customers with knowledge. Just as we’re determined to provide you with a water treatment program that works, we want you to understand how and why it works. In our experience, the more customers know about water treatment, the more successful their water treatment programs.

That’s why we offer extensive onsite training as a standard component of our water treatment services. Through hands-on instruction and seminars, your Lee Company representative takes special care to educate your plant personnel in basic water treatment practices and procedures, control testing, and the safe handling of chemicals.
