Duct Cleaning - Step by Step
At Lee Company, we train
and certify our heating and air conditioning specialists to the highest
standards of duct cleaning. Our technicians will inspect your ducts both before
and after the following steps to ensure your heating and air conditioning system
is in good health:
- If your air vents are
in the floor, we’ll remove the registers (the covers on the air duct openings)
and vacuum out any large pieces of debris.
- We then use a spinning,
telescoping Rotobrush® tool to clean any debris stuck on the inside of each
duct running to the rooms of your home.
- Next, we clean the
main duct lines by cutting access holes every 25 feet (as needed) to insert an
air sweep hose, which pushes or pulls debris back to a specialized vacuum
connected to your heating and air conditioning system. After this process is
completed, the access holes are patched, sealed, and reinsulated.
- We then clean and
vacuum the blower compartments on the heating and air conditioning unit.
- Now that the heating
and air conditioning unit is free of dust and debris, we sanitize the ducts by
using a vaporizing fog machine.
- Lastly, we clean the
grills by-hand and re-install to complete the job.
