Lee Company INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS

Lee Company Industrial Lee Company has extensive experience in the design and installation of HVAC and plumbing systems to serve industrial facilities of all types - from new construction to renovations and additions including process piping, ventilation, filtration, HVAC and plumbing systems. Several delivery mechanisms can be used including:

The following are several typical examples of projects Lee Company has performed:

SKF SKF-USA, Inc. - Graniteville, SC

Description: This project consists of design and construction services for this 300,000 square foot bearing manufacturing facility. The HVAC scope includes the installation of three (3) 774 ton centrifugal chillers, one (1) chilled water air control system, three (3) 300 hp rotary screw 2 stage compressors, each with refrigerated dryer, filters and 1550 gallon vertical receiver tank, three (3) dual cell cooling towers, one (1) 5 million Btu hot water boiler, nineteen (19) pumps for distribution, four of which are controlled by variable frequency drives, chemical water treatment system for each chiller as well as the hot water boiler, thirteen (13) penthouse climate changers with chilled water & hot water coils serving the production area as well as the office area, thirteen (13) VAV boxes and nine (9) fan powered VAV boxes for distribution of low pressure conditioned air in the office, four (4) fan coil units, two (2) computer room units, five (5) make up air units and thirty two (32) exhaust fans. A complete DDC electronic control system serves the operation of all system components and provides remote operation and monitoring via modem. The plumbing system includes domestic water distribution, sanitary sewer, acid waste, and a storm water lift station.

This groundbreaking for this $22,000.000.00 project occurred in June of 1996 with the owner assuming occupancy in March of 1997.

Peterbilt Peterbilt Motors Company - Denton, TX

Description: This project consists of complete design and construction services for the upgrade and installation of additional HVAC systems serving approximately 450,000 square feet of existing manufacturing space. The HVAC scope included the installation of three (3) 1200 ton water-cooled centrifugal chillers serving approximately eight (8) new roof mounted air handling systems, five (5) existing roof mounted air handling systems for comfort air and seven (7) paint process roof mounted air handling systems. The chilled water distribution system includes a primary-secondary pumping system with ten (10) pumps. Variable speed pumps serve the distribution loop with constant volume pumps serving the production loop and condenser water system. The new duct systems and piping systems are routed throughout the plant. One (1) three cell 2250 ton and one (1) existing 600 ton induced draft cooling tower are manifolded together outside the main powerhouse to provide condenser water heat rejection for the refrigeration system. A complete DDC electronic controls system serves the operation of all system components and provides for remote operation and monitoring by Lee Company's Service Department.

Lee Company's responsibility as prime contractor and construction manager for this project include the coordination of all trades - electrical, structural, roofing, insulation, concrete and masonry.

This project was released for construction in December of 1995. Conceptual designs were detailed and finalize and equipment placed on order by early January of 1996. Construction began in February 1996 with the project completion in July 1996.
