Lee Company, a provider of home services, is using its technicians and service trucks to collect food for Second Harvest Food Bank with their Vans 4 Cans Campaign. Lee Company’s 100 trucks average 4 stops each, every day doing a variety of home services from heating and air conditioning maintenance, appliance repair, electrical and plumbing work, home security, painting and much more.

“We realized that our home services’ house calls are a great opportunity to assist Second Harvest in collecting food from homeowners who want to help feed the hungry.” said Dan Kalman, Vice-President of Home Services at Lee Company. We’re offering our customers the convenience of participating in a food drive, without having to leave their home.”

Lee Company dispatchers disclose the food drive to homeowners before Lee Company arrives for their scheduled appointment. When Lee Company technicians arrive at the door, they’re greeted by homeowners and bags of food.

“Lee Company is a great example of a local company being innovative to help the community,” said Jaynee Day, President and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of middle Tennessee. Lee Company is providing us manpower we never anticipated.”

Lee Company headquarters at 331 Mallory Station Rd. in Franklin, TN., is also a Second Harvest Food Bank drop-off point.
