“I wish I had spent all my career here”

The first thing Bill said when asked about 20 years at Lee Company was: “I wish I had spent all my career here, instead of at another company! Questions are welcomed here, people are helpful, safety is important, and communication is encouraged. I learned right away, you can’t ask too many questions, and people will answer you over the phone, or head to the jobsite if needed.”

Bill started as a facility services HVAC technician. After four years, he became a service supervisor, and did that for a few years. Bill then became the manager for HVAC install, which he’s done for twelve years.

“It’s been challenging and fun at the same time. Every person brings a different personality to the team, and we mold to each person. We focus on teaching people consistency and to have good craftsmanship. It’s important to be kind and fair to the people around you.”

Bill believes change is good. He says, “When we make changes, we have the opportunity to grow, provide more opportunities for people to work here, and to help more communities thrive.”
