Richard Perko joined Lee Company as a project engineer right out of college in 1996. Twenty years later, he was named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, adding that title and responsibilities to his role as president – a position he held from 2009 to 2025.
As CEO, Richard is responsible for all company sales, operations, and strategic planning. His current focus is on guiding Lee Company’s ongoing, successful evolution from a traditional mechanical contractor and residential HVAC provider to a comprehensive Facilities Solutions, Home Services, and Construction Services provider.
Richard’s journey to the top leadership position speaks to Lee Company’s mission to create a workplace where employees can thrive. He began as a project engineer, and engineered, developed, and sold mechanical and plumbing systems for healthcare, industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities. After working with Lee Company’s construction teams, Richard moved into construction management. He worked as a project manager first, and was promoted to vice president of Construction Services in 2001. In 2004, Richard accepted additional company-wide responsibilities as executive vice president for Lee Company. He was named president in 2009; he served as president and CEO from 2016 to 2025 and, in 2025, transitioned to focus solely on the CEO role.
