A good career should add to your life, not take away from it.
That’s something we believe deeply here. Whether you’re working in the field, serving customers, leading a team, or supporting the people who make it all happen, your work matters. But so does your family. Your health. Your rest. Your hobbies. Your peace of mind. Your life outside the workday.
For us, being people-first means seeing the whole person, not just the hard hat, uniform, job title, or skill set. It means creating a workplace where people can do meaningful work, feel supported, and still have energy left for what matters when the day is done.
As Debbie S. put it best:
“We’re all part of the family. We all matter. That’s the magic here.”
Work That Fuels Your Life

Work-life integration is more than a nice phrase. It’s the idea that your career and your personal life shouldn’t constantly compete with each other. One should support the other.
We want our people to enjoy their work, take pride in what they do, and believe their contributions matter. We also want them to make it to their kid’s ballgame, be present for family milestones, take time when life gets heavy, and unplug when they need rest.
That kind of culture comes from leaders who listen, teams who show up for one another, and a shared understanding that life happens. When it does, people deserve support, flexibility, and respect.
Support for the Whole Person
Conversations about mental health in the trades and mental health in construction are important. Work can be demanding, and life outside of it can bring challenges too.
That’s why we focus on mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing for our employees. Through our partnership with First Stop Health, team members have access to confidential counseling and resources to help manage stress, grief, personal hurdles, and medical needs.
No one should feel like they have to carry everything alone. Having support available can make a meaningful difference, especially during seasons when life feels heavier than usual.
Opportunities That Matter
When people feel supported, they’re able to grow with more confidence. That growth can look different for everyone, from learning new skills to taking on new responsibilities or finding a career path they may not have imagined at first.
“I love Lee Company because of the people, our work ethic, and the many different opportunities that we have as employees.”
– Robert S.
We want our people to feel proud of the work they do and excited about what’s ahead.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities that Lee Company pours into their people. I am Lee Company. It’s not just a job for me.”
– Jacki W.
Stability That Brings Peace of Mind

Competitive pay, 401(k) matching, and strong benefits are more than perks. They’re tools that can help our people build a stable life outside of work.
Financial wellness can bring peace of mind. It can help team members plan for the future, care for their families, and feel more secure in the life they’re building. We want our people to come to work safely, do work they’re proud of, and head home to what truly matters: their loved ones.
Helping Each Other Through Hard Seasons
The Lee Employee Assistance Fund, also known as LEAF, is one more way our people care for each other.
LEAF provides financial help to Lee Company employees who experience a personal or family tragedy outside of their control. Employees may contribute to the fund through payroll deductions, and for every dollar employees contribute, Lee Company matches it.
It’s a practical expression of something we talk about often: we’re part of a team, and we take care of each other.
Time To Rest Matters
Rest isn’t a reward for burning yourself out. It’s part of doing good work for the long haul.
Paid Time Off and paid holidays give our team members time to recharge, enjoy family traditions, take a trip, catch their breath, or simply enjoy a quiet day away from the regular routine. Time to unplug helps people come back refreshed, focused, and ready for what’s next.
Safety Is Personal

For us, safety is personal.
It’s about helping every team member get home safely at the end of the day. Our focus on safety, proper equipment, training, and planning is part of how we care for our people and support long careers.
Physical wellbeing matters at work and at home. When our people feel supported, equipped, and valued, they can do their best work with more confidence.
