Raising Funds and Awareness for Special Olympics

Special Olympics 2019

For the past four years, the Lee Company Golf Tournament has been a special benefit for Special Olympics of Williamson County. This year, we really turned the putting greens into green! The golf tournament raised more than $45,000 for this terrific organization.

“Over the past four years, with the help of our friends, vendors and customers, more than $175,000 has been donated to Special Olympics. The donations have helped this great organization provide their athletes with uniforms, sports equipment, travel expenses for games, and more,” says Gerry Vance, Executive Vice President. “Lee Company is dedicated to helping our community, and we’re delighted that our involvement with the tournament has made a positive impact.”

Sportsmanship at Its Best

Lee Company Special Olympics Golf Tournament

During this year’s tournament, it wasn’t unusual for crowds to gather at hole #17 at the Governors Club in Brentwood. What made this par 3 hole so special? A Special Olympics golfer! Eric, an enthusiastic athlete was on hand to putt first for each team in the tournament – and he was terrific! If you’ve never attended a Special Olympics event, we encourage you to check one out.
